this shouldn’t be a detriment to our faith. First Peter 1:8 refers to Christ as a person “whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory.” And the end of the faith which we place in One whom we’ve never seen is “the salvation of your souls” (1 Peter 1:9). Faith sees that which the physical eye cannot see. When faith is a reality, Vance Havner said, people see the invisible, choose the imperishable, and do the impossible.
